Become a Wine Guide

A New Career, A New Life Traveling Vineyard Wine Guide 101

The job itself is pretty simple: Wine Guides connect with hosts to arrange free, in-home wine tastings. As a Wine Guide, you help the hosts prepare for the event and then take the lead at the tasting itself, walking guests through a simple appreciation of some really great wines. At the end of the night, you log their order information with World HQ and we take care of the rest.

The best part, though, is that when you sign on with Traveling Vineyard, you won’t just get a great home-based wine business that you can arrange to fit your unique circumstances—you get a network of support, training, and the opportunity to grow.

No prior expertise needed, no on-hand stock or monthly minimums. Just you, your needs, and a supportive community to back you up.

Who is the Ideal Wine Guide?

Absolutely anyone. We have women in their twenties and men in their forties. Stay-at-home parents and weekend moonlighters. We have retirees and hobbyists. People looking for career alternatives and people looking for a personal challenge. Most of them like wine, and very, very few of them start out as wine experts. Part-Time to Career: The Choice is Yours

Your paycheck for your needs

You decide how much you want your income to be and tailor your efforts accordingly. Whether you just want to ease the burden of the family budget and indulge in a few luxuries like Stay-at-Home Mom Kirby or build a team and work your way up to a full-time corporate-equivalent income like Achiever Debbie, you decide how much you make.

Create your own schedule

Traveling Vineyard’s business model, based on the 5Fs, operates off fun, in-home wine tastings that you schedule yourself. That means that you decide when you work, how often you work, and where you work. Fit your Wine Guide time around the needs of your family, the demands of another job, your hobbies, your commitments, your vacations. Or turn Traveling Vineyard into your full-time job. It’s up to you.

Build a team to hit the next level

It may seem like a lot now, but the other great opportunity you have as a Wine Guide is the chance to build a great team. You’ll be surprised how many people in your social circles and at your tastings will be interested in becoming an entrepreneur.

Maybe the best part is that your income will increase with the first person you bring onto your team and it increases more and more as you help others build their own successful wine businesses. With a strong team behind you, it’s possible to turn a direct sales job into a full-time career.

Getting Started is Easy

No Wine Expertise Needed

We have a fantastic training program that will teach you everything you need to know about enjoying wine and guiding other people to do the same – without all the hoity-toity.

Minimal Monthly Fees

Because you aren’t expected to keep your stock on hand, your only start-up cost is your Success Kit. It has everything you need for your first two events – 10 bottles of wine, supplies, paperwork, and self training materials. The only monthly fee required is to host your very own personal Wine Guide website at $15.95 per month. But we’re so sure you’ll love it that we’ll pay for your first three months!

As Much Support As You Need

Watching our Wine Guides grow is our favorite thing about this business. From World HQ to your local mentor, we’re here to help you at every step of the journey.

Every Year We Throw a Celebration In Your Honor

Our support extends beyond the day-to-day. Our annual Harvest is full of breakout training sessions in every aspect of the wine business plus all the fun and applause you deserve.
